Our current setup
We currently use no advertising cookies, advertising pixels or third-party analytics. We serve fonts with the website. We use the storage below to provide requested account, shortlist and quiz features. We do not use a consent banner to imply that you agreed to tracking that we do not use.
Sign-in cookies
am_challenge- A first-party cookie that ties a requested sign-in code to the browser that requested it. It expires after 10 minutes and is cleared after a successful sign-in.
am_session- A first-party cookie that keeps you signed in. It expires after seven days. Signing out invalidates the session and clears the cookie. The production cookies use HTTPS-only, HttpOnly and SameSite protections.
Saved choices
agency-matches-shortlist-v1- Local storage containing the agencies you saved or selected for comparison. It remains in this browser until you change the selections or clear site data. It has no automatic expiry and does not sync between devices.
agency-match-answers- Session storage containing quiz answers used for your results and introduction brief. “Start over” clears those answers. Closing the tab normally clears session storage, subject to your browser's session-restoration behavior.
Security services
Cloudflare and Turnstile process browser and network signals to deliver the site and protect sign-in from automated abuse. Provider-managed security storage may be used as part of those checks. These services are distinct from advertising tracking. Blocking their scripts or storage can prevent sign-in even when public pages remain available.
Your controls
Remove an agency from Saved to remove that selection, or use “Clear comparison” to clear comparison choices. Use “Start over” in the quiz to clear its answers. You can also clear cookies and site data for agencymatches.com in your browser settings; this signs you out and removes local selections. Clearing browser storage does not delete your server-side account, reviews or enquiries. Use the contact address in the privacy notice for those requests.
Future changes
If we introduce non-essential tracking, we will describe it and provide any choices or consent controls that applicable law requires before it runs. Agreement to the terms, a saved agency or a follow action does not count as consent to future advertising tracking.
